WHAT is the RCIA?
The RCIA is the process within the Catholic Church for the initiation of seekers into a deeper knowledge of and relationship with God, into life in Christ, and into full participation in His Church.
WHO do we serve?
We serve all those seeking God and a deeper life in Christ within the fullness of the Catholic faith, but especially
WHEN/WHERE does the RCIA “happen”?
The RCIA is one liturgical Rite comprised of four periods and three primary rites. These periods of preparation, growth, and response to God “happen” within smaller gatherings each week. Transition from one period to the next is celebrated by the rites within the larger assembly at specified times.
HOW is the RCIA to be experienced?
The RCIA should be experienced as a journey of faith and conversion in response to God’s love.

The clear vision of the Church for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is that responsibility of initiation rests within the parish community. Full implementation of the Rite requires a coordinated team effort and participation of the entire community. St. Joseph's Religious Education Classes
Registration for Religious Education (RE) classes will be on August 20 & 27 from 9:45-10:45 in the school near Room 107.
Are offered for all Catholic children age 4 through Confirmation which is usually for students in the 8th grade who are not enrolled in a Catholic school. The classes meet on Sunday mornings at 9:40AM to 12:00 noon in the school. The classes began Sept. 10th and end in May 2016. No classes on Labor Day
Sacrament of Baptism:
Those seeking Baptism for their children must be registered and active in the Parish for 3 months prior to date of baptism. Parents or godparents who have not attended a Baptism Preparation Class in the last 3 years must attend a class.
To reserve space in a class, first contact the church office at 865-1071 and return a completed Baptism Request Form.
Classes are the second Tuesday of every month from 6PM to 8PM in the school library.
