Home Ministry Social Action Room in the Inn
Provides housing, food, and fellowship for homeless men during the winter months.
Without Inn Keepers there is no program. Last season we struggled many weeks to fill the weekend. We pray that men in the parish will read this and want to learn more about this ministry. Jesus told us that true religion is about how well wetake care of the widows and orphans! He also told us that "Whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you have donefor me." Volunteering as an Inn Keeper involves spending onenight a month for five consecutive months! Each weekend team needs two men to come and interact with our 15 homelessguests.
This includes dinner, socializing, spending the night, serving breakfast and clean-up. Our guests arrive about 5:30 on Sunday evening and are picked up at 5:30 Monday morning. Everything is wrapped up by 6:00-6:15.
Many of our volunteers have expressed being truly touched by serving in this ministry. So please consider volunteering to help with dinner, breakfast, lunches, laundry or to be an Inn Keeper
