The St. Joseph Youth Ministry is based upon Catholic Principles that reinforce sound human and social values. The Youth Ministry is open to all young men and women in grades 4-12 who attend private, public, or home schools.

Through the Eucharist, Christ unites the faithful in one body-the Church. Therefore, as the St. Joseph Youth strive to live out their Catholic Faith, it is imperative they are nourished by the Eucharist in the Mass. The 2nd Saturday 4:30 Mass is designated as the Youth Mass. The children participate in the Mass as Greeters, Ushers, Altar Servers, Lectors, Gift Bearers, and Ministers of Communion.

The St. Joseph Elementary Youth Ministry is open to children in the 4th and 5th grades. We take quarterly field trips in order to begin building up a Christian Community of fellowship in this age group.

The St. Joseph Jr. Youth Ministry is open to all teens in the 6-8 grades. The Jr. Youth Ministry meets once a month in the Youth Room from September –June. Meetings consist of dinner (prepared by a core team of parent volunteers), discussions on topics that Junior High Teens face in their lives, prayer, and social time. We attend one youth retreat per year. The youth decide on a field trip to be taken in June of each year.

The St. Joseph Sr. Youth Ministry is open to all teens in the 9-12 grades. We meet once a month in the Youth Room from September – June. Meetings begin with a social time and dinner (prepared by a core team of parent volunteers), followed by a reflection of a scripture passage, small and large group discussion and ending with a prayer. The program is run by a leadership team of Adult Advisors and a Core Team of three Teens. Monthly meetings are planned by the Core Team of Teens, with the guidance of the Youth Director. Meeting topics are issues that High School Teens are faced with as they try to live their Catholic Faith. We attend one youth retreat per year. Juniors and seniors will be given the opportunity and encouraged to attend a Search Weekend Retreat.
The youth decide on a field trip to be taken in July of each year.
